Castles and coastline
In early July we hosted Willard and Elizabeth from Columbia city in Minnesota USA.
We had a wonderful weekend, cycling up and down the coast looking at the castles.
They have sent us a wonderful poem to remember their stay.
Just North of Barmouth, in a little Welsh village,
live a couple who cycle up hill and on ridge.
If a Snowdonia trip is what you pursue,
Keith Scriven will plot out the perfect venue.
But first, Bethan's dinner is a fine evening plan,
Gourmet food and wine, you will be a fan.
Next day there is cycling as far you like.
Ancient castles and ocean, viewed on a bike.
Say "Dim cwyno," and the sun is 'a-shining,
That's our motto, which is Welsh for "no whining."
Steep hill a pittance to pay for a view.
The Scriven's the luckiest couple we ever knew.
We had a wonderful time.
